An ongoing drug investigation led to the arrest of two people at 206 Mead Street this past Tuesday.
The Muskingum Sheriff's Office says 28-year-old James Allen Wade is charged with trafficking drugs. 26-year-old Darrin Michael Wade is also charged with trafficking drugs, with a juvenile specification and possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. There was an additional arrest made at the residence as well.
"We also made another arrest over there during the search warrant. We arrested a James R. Hanning Jr. for misdemeanor obstruction of justice. He was issued a citation and then transported over to the jail where he will go in front of a judge and deal with a bond on that case," says Sheriff Matt Lutz.
The Sheriff's Office recovered more than seven grams of crack cocaine, $500 in cash, a small amount of marijuana, prescription pills and drug paraphernalia. Sheriff Lutz says the investigation has been ongoing.
"One of the drug investigations that our guys have been working on that led us to that house and luckily we were able to get a couple individuals off the streets that are dealing drugs and get some drugs off the street," says Sheriff Lutz.
Also on Tuesday, following traffic stops, the Sheriff's Office was led to a search warrant at 358 Pine Street, but Sheriff Lutz is not prepared to release information on that case.
