Two Barnesville teens are dead, following an accident in Guernsey County late last night.

It happened on State Route 265, between the cities of Salesville and Quaker City, around 11:40 p.m.

The Cambridge Post of the State Highway Patrol says 17-year-old Richard Baker Junior was traveling east. When he went around a gradual right hand turn, Sergeant Bailey says the car proceeded to go off the left side of the road, strike an embankment, and overturn.

Both Baker and his front seat passenger, 17-year-old Clayton Rebecca-Hall were ejected. Sergeant Bailey says both teens weren't wearing their seatbelts. The Guernsey County Coroner pronounced them dead at the scene.

A third passenger in the back seat, 17-year-old James Lucas Junior, was restrained. Lucas was taken to Southeast Ohio Regional Medical Center with only minor injuries, where he was treated and released.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.

It remains under investigation.
