A drive across the Y Bridge just got a little more colorful.
A couple of years ago, an idea was born to beautify one of Zanesville's historic landmarks. That dream has now blossomed into a reality. After today, 16 flower baskets now sit on top of they Bridge's lamp posts.
The project was organized by the Muskingum Valley Garden Society, and with the help of numerous contributions from area businesses, the society was able to attain the baskets and put in an irrigation system to water and fertilize the plants. The flowers were purchased from Timber Run Gardens who donated the time to plant them.
Garden society president, Brian McLoughlin is very pleased with how the project turned out. For information on the Garden Society you can visit www.mvgardensociety.org.
