If you would like to submit an issue to appear on the November ballot, the deadline is quickly approaching.
It was changed to August 4th after Governor Strickland signed House Bill #48 back in June.
"That Move Act required for the military to be able to vote earlier. So, we will be mailing all military ballots out on September 18th, " says Muskingum County Board of Elections Executive Director, Chris Hamill.
Hamill says there's already state and local candidates on the ballot along with some local tax levies, and she expects more tax levies to be filed within the next few days. In order to do that though, you need to fill out the proper forms.
"Some of their resolutions, depending if they're a township or trustee. The resolutions have to be filed and a certificate from the auditor's office, " says Hamill.
The Muskingum County Board of Elections will then send the paperwork to the Secretary of State's Office where it has to be approved before being put on the ballot.
