All that's left of the old Zanesville High School is a huge pile of rubble.
Crews are working to cart the demolition away, but they have run into a slight problem...a dust complaint. The Ohio EPA was notified, and the school district's construction liaison, Darrell Lear, says workers are aware of the dust and are using water to counter-act the problem.
People continue to park across the street to watch the progress of the old and the new.
"Now you can see this one coming down. You see the new one coming up behind it. It's what they're looking for. It's the citizens' dollars that paid for it, and they want to see their product, " says Lear.
While paving will continue after school begins in September along with some landscaping, the entire project is expected to be completed by the end of November.
