Good news for those planning to travel on Labor Day.
According to AAA and the Oil Price information Service, regular unleaded gas is $2.51 per gallon in central Ohio, which is the lowest average price since May. While some drivers appreciate the drop in prices, other's don't care.
"I don't like the prices going up and down especially with everything that has been happening in the gulf," said Driver John Pennington.
While another driver, Reubin Morgan said, "I guess it's you know that's just the way it is, you gotta pay what you-- if you want to go, you gotta pay right."
AAA says an estimated 34.3 million people are planning to travel at least 50 miles from home for the holiday. Some analysts are reluctant to predict where long-term gas prices are heading, due to the struggling economy. On Thursday, gas prices jumped 20 cents from $2.45 a gallon for regular to $2.65 here in Zanesville.
