The 5th Annual Light The Night Walk took place Thursday evening. It's a part of a nationwide event to help raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
"Our mission is to cure blood cancer's Leukemia, Lymphoma, Hodgkins Disease and Myeloma and improve the quality of life for patients and their families," said Executive Director Phil Tanner of the Ohio Central Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
In attendance were friends, colleagues, family members and cancer patients, all supporting one very important cause.
"The Lymphoma Society for the blood cancers is a huge resource of not only financial assistance but even just help getting connected with doctors, connected with other patients, and even with other family members," said Cancer Survivor Ginger Miller.
According to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Leukemia causes more deaths than any other cancer among children and young adults under the age of 20.
