Singing Showdown

It's a local version of American Idol, and it's coming to the Coshocton Fair.

R&D Promotions is hosting a singing competition called "Singing Showdown."  The final round will be held at the Coshocton County Fair on Tuesday, October 5, but to get to the finals, first you have to try out.

"People should come out and do this because they will have a blast doing it. Everyone that's come out to it, really has a good time doing it," says James Kovalchik, "Singing Showdown" judge.

Saturday, people can try out at the Depot Pub in Dresden starting at 9 p.m., or at the fair on Saturday and Sunday starting at 4 p.m. The best part about it is, all donations will go to Nationwide Children's Hospital.

"It's an every penny counts campaign so basically with the times being rough right now, we're just asking people to reach into their pockets and get out some of their loose change," says Rick Williamson of R and D Promotions.

For those who don't want to participate in the competition, they can still donate a dollar to sing karaoke at the fair. For more information, you can visit the website at www.singingshowdown.com.
