A benefit is being held to help the woman who was brutally attacked in a robbery at the Light House Inn.
Cindy Sharrer required serious medical attention that she received in Columbus following the robbery that happened on September 2. Now she has hefty bills to pay, which is why a benefit poker run is being held this Saturday at the East End Cafe on Greenwood Avenue.
"She's been a good friend to so many for so many years, and she works hard to take care of her husband who is in a wheelchair. She's a very good lady and we just thought it was our time to do something for somebody else you know," says Kenny Forsythe, event organizer.
Sign-ups for the poker run are from 11 to 1 p.m. and runs until 5 p.m.
"We have live entertainment that night by '40th floor' and all the proceeds go to Cindy Sharrer," says Forsythe.
All the activities Saturday night take place at the East End Cafe. For more information you can contact Kenny Forsythe at 740-319-0853.
