The Salvation Army wants to remind people that the deadline for Christmas applications is right around the corner.
The Salvation Army is working on their Christmas project that provides food baskets for families and toys for kids. They are taking applications from October 25 through October 29.
"When they come in they need to bring a picture ID, social security numbers for everyone in their household, their monthly income and their monthly bills," says Mindy McCloy of the Salvation Army.
Last year, the Salvation Army was able to provide 1,300 children with toys in Muskingum, Morgan, and Perry counties. The Angel Tree will be up at the mall starting November 19, and they will be accepting donations to provide the gifts.
"We're always in need of toys. We'll take all the toys we can get because we do service everybody that applies will receive toys."
Applications will be accepted in Perry County on November 3 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, and those in Morgan County can apply on November 2 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Malta United Methodist Church.
