A two-vehicle accident in Zanesville sends two people to the hospital.
Sergeant Chris Phipps of the Zanesville Police Department says around 4:30 p.m. a red Dodge Neon was traveling southbound on Mead Street and failed to yield at a stop sign striking a red Chevy truck that was driving eastbound on Ridge Avenue.
Emergency personnel had to use the jaws of life to take the door off the passenger side of the Dodge Neon. Both the driver and passenger of that vehicle were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Phipps says the driver of the Neon will be cited with failure to yield.
