A Tri-Valley school bus driver, involved in an accident back in June that resulted in the death of a six-year-old student, asks that she be put on unpaid administrative leave.
Carol Oler put in a written request that was approved by the School Board during its meeting this month. It will go into effect on October 31st. She was initially put on paid administrative leave back in August.
Oler faces three misdemeanor counts, including vehicular homicide, vehicular manslaughter, and failure to control, and has pled not guilty to these charges.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol indicates Oler was driving the morning of June 3rd when she went off the right side of the road, struck a utility pole, and overturned. Seven children were on the bus when the accident occured, including Kasey King, who was killed.
