The Muskingum County Sheriff's Office says it's investigating a domestic dispute that led to a woman being stabbed.

It happened around 5:30 p.m. at 570 Main Street in Duncan Falls.

Sheriff Matt Lutz says the man allegedly stabbed the woman twice. She was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital with what deputies are calling non life-threatening injuries. Lutz says his office is waiting to take statements from the couple, who are believed to be married, to determine a motive.

The man is currently being held in the Muskingum County Jail. His name is not being released pending formal charges. Lutz says he expects to meet with the Muskingum County Prosecutor Monday.
