If your kids have their eye on grabbing a deer, they can take part in the annual youth deer-gun hunting season.

It will take place in less than two weeks, during the 20th and 21st. Kids age 17 and younger will be able to kill one deer of either sex as long as they are accompanied by a non-hunting adult. They must wear orange, have a valid Ohio hunting license, and purchase a $12 youth-deer permit.

9,300 deer were killed last year during the two-day season.
