The holiday spirit is in full swing at the Colony Square mall.
Saturday lots of eager families braved the chilly weather in order to welcome Santa and the Christmas season. The West Muskingum Cheerleaders were taking part in the event and were looking forward to the parade and Christmas.
"Having fun. Having really fun," said the group.
Also marching in the parade were the Dancing Divas. This dance troop is a non profit group for any woman that wants to get exercise, for their own mental health and for a sense of community.
"We did this parade last year and had a great time," said LeAnn Bader-Mock. "Anytime we get to perform and get out our mission statement we love to do it."
Mock said by far the best part of the parade is the kids.
"I think seeing the kids see Santa for the first time or see Santa for the first time this year is always the best."
A couple of the kids at the parade were fans of Santa's friends.
"I liked Rudolph and Frosty," said parade watcher Alexia.
And after the parade the kids headed inside for a chance to meet with Santa himself.
