Tonight's slippery roads are to blame for several area accidents with injuries, but for one woman, she was lucky to walk away uninjured from a rollover accident.
According to Trooper Keith Roe with the State Highway patrol, a woman traveling westbound on interstate 70 near the Gratiot exit lost control of her Jeep Liberty sending it into the median and rolling over several times. EMS arrived on the scene to evaluate the driver but she refused treatment and walked away with no injuries.
Roe says drivers need to pay special attention to roadways.
"Weather conditions like these, people just need to go slow, try to maintain a steady speed, don't accelerate on bridges or overpasses. The main thing is to just take your time especially when the roadways look wet, " says Roe.
Roe says speed was a likely contributing factor to the rollover.
