According to the Muskingum Valley Red Cross, there have been 20 fires in the past four weeks.
The organization who covers Muskingum, Morgan and Perry counties has a disaster action team in place that's on call 24/7 to assist families in emergency situations.
"We offer them help with their immediate needs, if they don't have family to go stay with, we put them up in a hotel, they're going to need food and we give them a voucher for food and also clothing," said Marlene Henderson of the Muskingum Valley Red Cross.
Henderson said the budget for this year is already tight due to the increase in fires recently. She asks that the community continue to show support.
"Think red and green this time of year, because with the fires we've had we can always use the monetary donations and with blood, we always always, we're always in need of blood," she said.
