With holiday travel on the rise, WHIZ talked to local residents to see what they thought of the increasing gas prices.
According to AAA, driving remains the number one form of transportation for this holiday period. But despite the increase in travel, local resident Don Caldwell says he sure isn't going anywhere.
"I think its kind of an outrageous reason for the gas prices to be at the price they are, especially around the holidays," said Caldwell.
Matt Dillon says with the high gas prices, he spends most of his paycheck going back and forth to work. So for this holiday season, he is staying close to home.
"Probably just to Maysville. I use to go to St. Clairsville but I mean the gas prices are pretty outrageous and now it has reached its peak," said Dillon.
If you do decide to travel during the holidays, AAA road service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To assist you in an emergency, you can call 1-800-AAA-HELP.
