Area volunteers are being thanked for their service.
The Muskingum Valley Red Cross hosted a luncheon for all of its volunteers on Tuesday.
"It's our way of sharing our blessings for just good work and very very dedicated and passionate people," said Executive Director Marlene Henderson.
Henderson said the Red Cross would be nothing without its volunteers. She said they help in so many different ways and they are always looking for new recruits.
"If they would like to become a Disaster Action Team member and carry a pager and respond to fires we always have room for more people with that," she said.
