It's time to clean out your closets and attics so you can find those hidden treasures.
The Treasure Hunters Roadshow is in town and they want to put money back into the economy in Zanesville. Local residents are invited to bring their antiques and collectibles to The Welcome Center where they can sell their very own treasures.
"It's a great thing because it is kind of a one stop shop. They can bring all of their items in and have them looked at and then if we can purchase one or all of them, we will. Usually, a lot of people walk out with a check," said Field Manager Laura Enright.
Enright says the organization represents thousands of collectors looking for different types of collectibles. And although you cannot buy treasures at the actual roadshow, you can choose to sell just about anything. From five pounds of dental gold fillings to a vampire killing kit, Enright says people can receive thousands of dollars when coming to the roadshow.
"I know the weirdest thing that somebody bought from an Ohio show was a vampire killing kit. I was like you have to be kidding me...who even knew that existed. And they paid a fortune for it, but it was rare," said Enright.
Enright reminds sellers that it is a great time to bring in silver and gold. The roadshow continues Tuesday to Friday from 9-6 and ends on Saturday at 4 PM.
