When the Ohio House starts discussing the state budget a familiar face from Southeastern Ohio will be among the talks.
Representative of the 94th Ohio House District Troy Balderson will sit on the finance committee as they debate a way to make up a projected $8 billion budget deficit.
"It's nice to be able to represent the Appalachian region. It's an honor to be on the finance team," said Rep. Balderson.
He hopes his presence on the committee will draw attention to the area.
"It will help a lot, I hope. I'm really going to work hard to make sure we have a voice here," said Balderson. "Have faith in me and I will get it done."
Balderson will also represent the area as Chair of the Finance Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee and serve as a member of the Public Utilities Committee and Health Committee.
