While the rain and snow falls here, prices on getting out of the cold may also be falling. Susan Irwin at The Travel Store says this time of year is always busy, but this year is a buyer's market for travel.
"Well typically this time of year it is the high season and in years past prices can be higher this time of the year. With the recession actually there are so many good deals out there that it is a great time to travel," said Susan Irwin from the Travel Store.
Booking trips in the off season can also save you money and going through a travel agent can give you the best results.
"You can spend a lot of time online doing a lot of research and a lot of times you might see some nice pictures online and maybe sometimes they turn out they are not what they appear to be," said Irwin.
Popular trips still are cruises and Disney World. For honeymooners the most popular places are Hawaii and Sandal's Resorts.
