A man is injured after his vehicle slams into a building.
Around 8:30 p.m. on Friday, the Zanesville Police Department received a 911 call that a vehicle had struck a home in the area of Harvey Street.
"When we showed up here on Harvey Street it appeared that a car southbound on 9th had come off of the road for several hundred feet and crashed into a garage that is used for storage behind 915 Marietta," said Sgt. Chris Phipps.
The victim's name and injuries are unknown at this time. He was transported to Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital for treatment.
"The fire department along with some of our officers were in there assisting in getting him out on backboard. It was a little bit difficult, but they were able to manage getting him out," said Sgt. Phipps.
The cause of the accident is unknown and remains under investigation.
