Man Sentenced to Two Years for Chase

A Zanesville man will serve two years in prison for charges stemming from a high-speed chase.

According to the Zanesville Post of the State Highway Patrol, a trooper attempted to pull 25-year-old Harold Small Junior over on Interstate 70 near the Adamsville exit on August 24, 2010.

Small did not stop his motorcycle and led officers from the Patrol, Muskingum County Sheriff's Office and the Zanesville Police Department on a high-speed chase throughout Muskingum County. Troopers say Small crashed on the West Pike and was tased when he attempted to flee on foot.

Small pled guilty in November to failure to comply and was sentenced to community control. However, Wednesday in court he admitted to violating the terms of his probation and Judge Mark Fleegle imposed an alternate sentence of two years.
