211 Call Center Ready For Possible Gov Shutdown

With a possible government shutdown just hours away, the United Way 211 Call Center of Muskingum, Perry and Morgan counties is ready to take your questions.

211 Call Center Administrator Audrey Foster says if the government does shut down and residents have questions or concerns about various government agencies, to call 211.

"Of course none of us will know that until 12 o'clock tonight if in fact if everything will go on as normal or if in fact there will be a shutdown so we're all just kind of waiting," said Foster.

Foster says many concerns have been raised, if the government does shut down, will residents still get their social security checks and the answer is yes.

"Another one might be just a simple question of will the post office be running and the answer to that is yes," said Foster.

Foster says the 211 Call Center in southeast Ohio is 24 hours a day 7 days a week and operators are always standing by ready to help you with your questions.
