Repairing the Roots

Local churches are coming together to help guide America's youth.

Restoration: Repairing the Roots, a two-day event held at Secrest Auditorium in Zanesville provided entertainment and education for Christian members of Muskingum County.

"The point behind it is we're rallying young people in our city to try reverse some of the trends and some of the affects that we've seen in this generation and this year we're actually involving parents as well," said Local Youth Pastor Adam King.

King said kids today have veered away from religion and what it means to be a part of the Christian faith. He said their goal is to bring them back to a more structured life and to teach them how to make positive decisions for their future.

"They don't know where to go, so they're very confused, there a broken-hearted generation, I think a disappointed generation and so we're trying to help them out and tell them about this weekend about the truth that's out there," said King.
