The Muskingum County Soil and Water Conservation District presented their tentative budget to the County Commissioners Monday.
The District delivers services to residents relating to agriculture, wildlife, forestry and education among others within the county. Although budget numbers have not been finalized for 2012, the county plays a pivotal role in the funding of the district.
"Basically about 60 percent of the monies that we receive come from the Muskingum County Commissioners and were grateful for the money that we get from them," said Dick Sorg, District Program Administrator.
Their 2012 fiscal year budget will not be completed until Governor Kasich signs the new state budget into law by June 30th.
