Drivers Need to Be Cautious

Traffic on State Route 13 in Perry County was slowed down around 4 p.m. Tuesday after a one vehicle rollover crash.

According to Trooper R.J. Wilson with the Lancaster Post of the State Highway Patrol, 35-year-old Tammy Wolfe was traveling southbound on State Route 13 near Palmer Road in New Lexington when she crashed.

"She drove off the road, struck an embankment and overturned. She was transported to Fairfield Medical Center for her injuries," says Trooper Wilson.

With more people on the roadways this holiday weekend Trooper Wilson wants to remind drivers to be cautious.

"Just everybody make sure you drive the speed limit, buckle up, and be aware that this weekend coming up there's going to be the most traffic," he says.

Trooper Wilson says this rollover crash was likely due to driver inattention and Wolfe will be cited with failure-to-control.
