The Carr Center is gearing up for this years Safety Town in Zanesville...And sessions are already filling up.
Little ones will learn fire, traffic, bike safety and more. Service Coordinator at the Carr Center, Jenni Masterson guarantees your child will not only learn, but have fun.
"They love it, alot of these kids have never ridden on a bus before, they get to see a fire truck up close," said Masterson. "The firemen show them there whole garb, they get to go through the smoke house, and they just love riding around the little town. "
Safety Town is open to 4 and 5 year-olds. Morning and evening sessions will be available June 20th-30th, but Masterson warns they are filling up fast. At the end of the week a graduation will be held for those who attended. Masterson said, its a great opportunity for the parents to see what their kids have learned.
"My children did Safety Town when they were little and now they are highschool and college age so it's alot of fun," said Masterson. "It's great to see all the kids. It's a wonderful age."
The cost is $30. Each child will receive a free tee shirt and bike helmet. Masterson said, more volunteers are needed. Teenagers 14 and older are welcome. You can download a registration form from carrcenter.org or call at 740-453-5417.
