Anyone can be a father, but it takes a man to be a Dad...That is what one group of men proved to their children on Saturday afternoon..
Forever Dads celebrated their 8th annual All Star Dads Day. The non-profit organization, aims to help men develop positive relationships with their children, family and community.
"And so today, we are celebrating Father's Day, men who choose to truly be connected in the lives of their children," said Lemon. "Giving them strength as they build character, integrity, and who they are in the future."
One father said, it was his dad who served as an example to him, and he now hopes to instill those qualities in his own children.
"He showed me how to live," said Keith Awytt II. "So when it came time for me to become an adult, I knew the responsibilities as a man, as a husband, and as a father. "
Several local organizations took part in the event, including Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and the Police Athletic League.
