Two Year Sentence in Meth Case

A Zanesville woman will spend two years in prison and will have to pay a $5,000 fine for her involvement in an active meth lab.

20-year-old Elizabeth Barnett pled guilty to endangering children and the attempted illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacturing of meth. She was sentenced Monday in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court by Judge Kelly Cottrill.

On May 4, the Muskingum County Sheriff's Office raided a home at 343 Linn Street in Zanesville. There they reported finding an active meth lab, and two children were present.

Four other people were arrested with Barnett. All pled guilty to charges related to the bust.
