Newark Police Warn of Good Samaritan Scam

Newark Police are warning residents about a good samaritan scam.

Police say a woman has been knocking on residence's doors claiming to have to use the bathroom, the telephone or wants a drink of water.

Police say once the woman is let inside she is taking prescription drugs or jewelry from the homeowner .

If you believe you have been a victim of such a crime or know of anyone who may have been a victim, you are being urged to contact the Newark Police Department at (740)670-7200.
