A one-day workshop will put those who haven't received a high school diploma one credit closer towards achieving their college education- and for the community it's free.
Ohio University Zanesville is partnering with the program M.I.N.D-Making Impact Negotiating Decisions - to offer a one-credit hour workshop to teach individuals the skills they need to succeed at a job interview.
"Attacking stage fright, which is the most horrible thing for most people, learning how to speak and do public speaking," said MIND CEO and Founder Cassandra McDonald.
The class is free to the public. Once the class is complete those without a high school diploma or the requirement necessary to attend OUZ will be given a certificate of completion.
"Then once they finish their G.E.D or High School diploma that certificate will be valued at a $500 scholarship upon legibility to attend OUZ."
The class will take place Saturday November 5th at the John McIntire Library in downtown Zanesville. Call OUZ to sign-up.
