One organization is asking Muskingum County residents to seal the Christmas Cards with extra care this holiday season.
Tuesday, Muskingum Respiratory Care Associations sent out 12,000 Yule Time Seals for residents to put on their Christmas envelopes. The seals come with a bright red envelope so that the organization hopes you'll send back with a monetary donation. This year's goal is $40,000.
"In the past we've stayed right around the mid 30's," said Bill Schimmel the Campaign Chairman. "We get every year from them. We're just hoping to pick up a few new ones."
The money goes toward providing free services to the Muskingum County residents through the Rambo Clinic. Those services include TB Testing, asthma education day, breathing tests and a medication assistance program among other projects. In fact that's how Schimmel became interested in the program.
"When I first got my flu shot back when I was in college I just thought it was so cool and what they're organization did for Muskingum County," said Schimmel. "I've just been interested in it ever since."
The Yule Time Seal Campaign runs now through December 31st. If you do not receive seals you can contact Rambo Memorial Health Center.
