More than 250 motorcycles filled the parking lot of Zanesville's Colony Square Mall Saturday afternoon...all for a good cause.

It was the 15th annual Toy Ride. Biker groups from around the area gathered to donate and collect toys for families less fortunate this holiday season.

"The bikers in this area have big hearts and they know this is a tough time," said Pastor Michael McGuire of Rushing Winds Biker Church. "We're wanting to get together and help the community and those children that need a little bit of uplifting and might not have the best Christmas that other children might have."

Following the collection, the bikers paraded to the Salvation Army where the toys would later be delivered. Pastor Major Ralph Campbell said the toy collection wouldn't be possible without the help of the biker community. He calls them "the army behind the Salvation Army."

"People sometimes think bikers, you know, but they're great bikers, great people who care and give, and the Salvation Army couldn't do it without them."

Campbell estimates 1,500 children will qualify for the gifts this year. He hopes to give each child 3 toys.
