Muskingum County Commissioners received an update Thursday afternoon on the progress of the Business Incubator Project.

The project include a number of grants for renovations. County Development Director Sheila Samson said the county is awaiting a site visit from the Ohio Department of Energy in order to receive an energy efficiency grant.

"Do a site visit, make sure all the construction is in good order and that all of our finances are in proper order."

Samson said the approval of the site visit is crucial to the continued growth of the project.

"Local government dollars are just so sparse," said Samson. "There is just not much money right now, so grants are very crucial to make any type of project work right now."

The Business Incubator relocated in August to the former Maysville Middle School, renovations continue.
