With the arrival of the new year, one local family welcomed the arrival of their newborn baby.
Shannon and Christopher Miller of Coshocton are the proud parents of their fourth child, Cooper James; the first baby born in 2012 at Genesis Bethesda Hospital in Zanesville.
Cooper came in at 6 lbs, 13 oz, and 21inches long.
Mother, Sharron, said her new bundle of joy was almost two weeks early, but even after her water broke she figured somebody else had already snagged the "New Years Baby" title.
"I thought that someone else already beat me to it. I went to bed and I didn't think that I was going to go into labor. but i woke up at 2 o'clock in the morning, and my water broke, and I yelled for my husband, we came ands they said, I think you're going to be the new years baby, and I said, really?" said Shannon.
The Miller children, Bella and Patience, and son, Carson were on hand this afternoon visiting with mom and their newest sibling.
While the children are getting better acquainted with their new brother, Father, Chris, said he doesn't expect much to change at home with another baby.
"My wife stays at home, and I go to work... Just one more to take care of, really. It won't be too much different I don't think so." Said Christopher
The Millers said Cooper will likely be their last child.
Both mom and baby are expecting to return home Tuesday.
