The father of one of the boys lost in the Muskingum River in summer of 2011 was in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court Wednesday on sex charges. 29-year-old John Tullius pled not guilty to two counts of rape with a victim less than 10 years-old and two counts of gross sexual imposition from November of 2009. The charges are no connected to the fatal accident in the river. But authorities tell us they were alerted to the alleged sexual incidents three days before the boys went missing. In the summer of 2011 Anthony Tullius and his brother disappeared from their camp site at Ellis Dam. Anthony’s body was never found. His brother Ayden Cecil’s body was recovered. Judge Kelly Cottrill continued Tullius’s bond at $100,000. If convicted he face life in prison without parole.
