Organizers of the First Friday Art Walk are hoping the warm weather brings out a lot of spectators.
Aaron Chandler is the Zanesville Appalachian Arts Project featured artist of the month. Chandler graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 1996, but he began painting long before then. He said his art incorporates architecture and history.
"What you're going to see is sights that people might recognize here in town," said Chandler. "A lot of these buildings are from around here including the y-bridge."
Chandler has a passion for the Civil War, so he also enjoys carving antique guns out of wood. He said he can't wait to unveil his work to the public.
"I'm thrilled about it," said Chandler. "I'm interested to see who is going to come take a look at it."
Chandler's art is on display at the Z.A.A.P. Gallery in downtown Zanesville. The First Friday Art Walk will take place on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m.
