The Foxfire High School Board of Directors is standing behind Superintendent Todd Whiteman amidst an assault charge.
The Foxfire High School Board of Directors met Friday afternoon to discuss the assault charge filed against Whiteman in a closed-door meeting.
In a statement released to WHIZ this afternoon, Board of Directors President, Steve Desrosiers, said:
"The Foxfire School Boards have initiated an action plan to insure the continued success of Foxfire Schools and Mr. Whiteman. The boards have complete confidence in the plan of action, Mr. Whiteman's character and his leadership abilities to lead Foxfire Schools in the positive direction that it will continue to go."
Whiteman is on paid administrative leave from his coaching duties at Maysville High School.
Whiteman plead not guilty to an assault charge, stemming from a weekend incident where police say he punched a man in the face.
A pre-trial hearing is set for March 7th.
