Zanesville Mayor Jeff Tilton Wednesday announced that the city is getting a $75,000 grant from the Ohio Cultural Facilities Commission. Tilton says the funds will be used for some much needed work at Secrest Auditorium. Tilton says the money will be used for new stage curtains, carpet and lobby doors. Secrest manager Ann Combs says the improvements will create light and sound barriers for the facility.  The Commission approval of the funds, coupled with the signing of legal agreements, allows the City of Zanesville to be reimbursed on a pro rata basis as work is completed.  The 1776 seat Secrest Auditorium opened in 1940 and has one of the largest stages in southeastern Ohio.
