Zanesville Police urge restaurants and business owners to be on alert after another robbery takes place in the city.
This time the suspect walking into the Hampton Inn on Spring Street around 4a.m. told the clerk he had a gun and then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect is similar to that of one given for both the Papa John's and Tumbleweed robberies.
"This suspect is very similar to the other robberies that being a white male, wearing a black hoodie, black ski mask and approximately the same size that being about 5'10," said Detective Roush.
Detective Roush also said that business owners need to be careful.
"At this time we're really asking all business owners to be on especially high alert and tell all their employees to be especially careful and being very observant of any suspicious vehicle, any suspicious people they see. Do not hesitate to call the police before an incident occurs," said Roush.
Zanesville Police will step patrols in the Underwood Avenue area. This is the 3rd robbery in just over a week in Zanesville. While Detective Roush said this suspect is similar to the other suspect descriptions he can't say for certain it is the same man.
