Those feeling their yard could use a pick up might consider hiring a landscaper to spruce up their space
Jerry Miller from Twin Hills Landscaping said that home improvements shows on television can make projects look simple and easy, when it's not always the case.
"It could take anywhere from one day to a month," said Miller. "It depends on the size of the project and what they are looking to do."
Miller said in recent years homeowners are trending towards creating outdoor living spaces where they can spend time with their families. These spaces can be big when trying to sell a home.
"Statistics show every dollar you spend on your landscaping you're going to get 100 percent return if you put it on the market," said Miller. "Curb appeal is what people are looking for. Simple, low maintenance landscapes is what they're looking for."
When trying to layout a project Miller said you should go over a budget with the landscaper, pitch ideas and be sure to mention what type of plants you like. You can visit the Twin Hills Landscaping exhibit as well as others now through Sunday at the Colony Square Mall during Hearth, Home and Away.
