Bowlers are wrapping up their efforts to raise money for Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Sunday marked the last day of the Muskingum County Bowl for Kids' Sake fundraiser at Maysville All Star Lanes. Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters Mollie Crooks said the turnout was less than expected, but every bit helps.
"The event has been phenomenal once again. We were down on teams this year and we were a little down on fundraising, but right now we're standing at 62,000 dollars," said Crooks.
The organization will continue to accept donations. Crooks said it's still possible for Big Brothers Big Sisters to reach its goal of matching last year's numbers.
"We are very optimistic because the community always does come around. We had about 140 teams this year, so that's still nothing to take for granted."
Another Bowl for Kids' Sake fundraiser will take place in Guernsey County on April 21st at King Pin Lanes.
