Two men are in the Zanesville City Jail after they were arrested in connection with two gas station robberies.  Lt. Bill Shaw says the first incident happened at the Speedway on Blue Avenue a little after 11 p.m Thursday evening.  Shaw says a white male with a scruffy beard and wearing an Ohio State Sweatshirt told the clerk he had a gun and would use it if cash wasn’t handed over.  He then fled the scene.  Then just before 3:30 Friday morning a call came into police that the Duke and Duchess at Maple and Brandywine was being robbed.  That suspect looked like the first suspect and was also wearing an Ohio State sweatshirt.  A short time later officers stopped a vehicle after the driver matched a suspect description and found the stolen cash and two suspects wearing Ohio State sweatshirts. Police arrested 29-year-old Ryan Taylor of Fultonham and 46-year-old Donald Poole II of Zanesville. They are both charged wtih two counts of robbery and two counts of theft.
