High school students spent their Saturday giving back to others...
The Muskingum County Community Youth Foundation hosted its second annual "Community Fun Day" Saturday afternoon. Foundation President Brandon Davis said this event is a way for kids to have fun in a safe environment.
"It's mainly kids pre-kindergarten through 4th grade. Just with these kids, they're...They just love being here. Just seeing the joy on their faces from them coming in and just...It's an awesome event. We look forward to it," said Davis.
Kids played games, tackled a high school football player, and even threw pies at a member of the foundation.
"It's mainly just for them to come out and have fun, but it's also for them to realize that volunteering can be fun, but it can be productive at the same time. It keeps growing and growing. I hope it becomes even bigger next year."
Saturday's event was sponsored by North Terrace Church and the Muskingum County Community Foundation.
