It was an adventure in downtown Zanesville Saturday as people raised funds for a nationwide organization.
The American Heart Association hosted "HeartChase", a community-wide competition to promote healthy living while raising money to support a good cause.
"We have over 150 participants today, roaming the streets of downtown Zanesville, going to 10 different businesses and venues, and collecting points. It's like a big scavenger hunt," said event chairman Dan Hartman.
The volunteers were able to track teams in "real time" as they collected points. The top teams were awarded gift cards donated by area businesses.
"Couldn't have done this without the support of Genesis, couldn't have done this without the Fieldhouse, and Primrose... You know all these different groups that just stepped up, and all we did was ask. But that's Zanesville, that's what happens here," said Hartman.
