The high winds Monday caused damage around Zanesville and other parts of our area, as a result of a nor-easter making its way up the Atlantic coast.
Just after noon Monday, Luck Avenue was closed for over an hour after the winds knocked a large tree branch into a power line causing it to snap. The Zanesville Fire Department said the downed line caused a grass and debris fire near the intersection of Luck and Larzelere Avenues. The flames were contained quickly and the road remained closed until the power line was repaired. No injuries were reported.
