Ohio gas prices are hovering well under four dollars a gallon as signs of economic weakness in the United State and elsewhere have pushed the price of oil toward it lowest level since last fall. But the price in some parts of Zanesville jumped again Monday. The average price for a gallon of regular gas in Ohio is about $3.58 in Monday’s survey from Auto Club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and Wright Express. That’s up 2 cents from a week ago but below the average of $3.71 at this time last year. In Zanesville Gasbuddy.com is reporting gas at $ 3.79 at the BP Blue Avenue. Recent reports of weak job growth in the U.S, a deepening financial crisis in Spain and slowing growth in China also rattled markets. Nationally, the average price for regular gas is $3.54, down about a nickel from last week.
