A plane and police K-9 searched for a suspect who fled from authorities Friday following a pursuit on State Route 93.

According to Sgt. Mike White with the Coshocton County Sheriff's Office, the pursuit began after detectives received information of a stolen semi on State Route 93 around 5 p.m. Friday evening and attempted to pull the truck over.

"It was also being led by a green F150 those subjects got away, which we later apprehended them. The driver of the semi abandoned the vehicle, left it rolling and took off on foot," said Sgt. White.

The man who fled ran into a heavily wooded area in Monroe Township in Muskingum County. Both Coshocton and Muskingum County authorities searched for the suspect for more than an hour, but decided to call off the search and issue a warrant for his arrest.
